Woodyard and Pulp Superintendent - Fernandina Beach, FL Career Opportunity:
The Woodyard and Pulp Superintendent leads process operations for the department. This position is responsible of creating a safe work environment and continuously improving the quality, productivity, efficiency and cost of the operation. The Woodyard and Pulp Superintendent reports to the Mill Operations Manager. How you will impact WestRock:
Safety - Lead safety systems and processes that support achieving our continually improving annual goals Environmental - Lead department environmental management systems to ensure compliance and environmental stewardship Quality/Customer Satisfaction - Focus on the fundamentals of quality and service coupled with innovation to be our customers preferred supplier. Cost - Develop and maintain methods for systematically tracking and reducing operational costs. Production -Improve efficiency and effectiveness of department operations by analyzing the processes and utilizing all available tools, technology, and outside resources. Financial Budget/Results - Develop stretch operating budgets and deliver financial results. Capital Execution - Provide input to capital projects from inception through completion. Strategic Planning - Cost reduction, equipment improvements, people assignments, talent alignment within the department, etc. People Development - Invest in our people to help them develop and operate at their full potential. Pi (or equivalent), Microsoft Suites Process Improvement and Management Tools Lean, 6 Sigma, Statistics, Kepner-Tregoe, etc. Clear Communicator:
Written/Verbal/Presentation Skills Purchasing and Asset Management (EPAM) Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Reliability Systems Finance Product Cost Accounting Working Knowledge of Financial Indicators Budgeting and Forecasting Processes Relationships Operators, Labor Unions, Industry, Suppliers/Vendor Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred and a minimum of 5-8 years of Pulping Operations experience or, 10
years of progressively increasing responsibilities in Pulping Operations with at least 3 years of supervisory experience Strong computer skills (MS Office software) ATR12988
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real EstateEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
