Position General Description/Responsibilities Reporting to the Executive Director, the Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers to support programs or projects.
Responsibilities include volunteer recruiting, volunteer coordination during events, volunteer recognition, marketing communications, continuous improvement of volunteer programs, and monthly reporting.
Assist the Executive Director in compliance with requirements to remain in good standing with Keep America Beautiful and Keep Florida Beautiful and meet contract and grant requirements as related to volunteer support for funded programs.
KNB is a service organization and staff members should demonstrate a deep passion for connecting KNB and community volunteers to meaningful experiences that support individual, KNB, and community goals.
The incumbent will be interacting frequently with donors and community leaders and as a result, will be the face of the organization and must be able to present well, communicate effectively, and engage in problem-solving.
Responsibilities Using and maintaining tools such as desktop applications, email, and volunteer databases Informing and coordinating with new and existing volunteers regarding ongoing tasks and planned events.
Includes the use of online tools.
Recruiting, supervising, and training volunteers.
Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets and providing the tools needed to perform their tasks.
Keeping schedules and records of volunteers work and accomplishments.
Providing volunteer documentation as needed.
Managing volunteer recognition and awards programs.
Liaise with community partners and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order for a high-quality community experience.
Assist in organizing and promoting events related to volunteer support.
Manage KNB volunteers and their assignments during events set-up, day of event-related tasks, tear down, and follow-up processes.
Maintain volunteer lists and databases.
Assist in maintenance and inventory of supplies needed by volunteers during events.
Recommend order cycle.
Ensuring the organizations purpose is conveyed to the public.
Requirements:
Experience as a volunteer and with leading and managing volunteers.
Demonstrated team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Proven self-starter with a passion for the mission of Keep Nassau Beautiful.
Proven problem-solving ability.
Self-starter with the ability to manage a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends based on events Ability to provide your own virtual office setting with access to a computer, internet, software applications, and Microsoft Office Valid Florida Drivers License Employment offer may be contingent upon the completion of an interview and a background check Job Type:
Part-time Schedule:

2-year advanced degree or equivalent job-related work experience (Required)
