Job Description:
Idea Recruitment has partnered with a local Non-Profit Organization to aide in their search for a Controller.
The client is seeking to hire a Controller who will be responsible for the overall management of the financial functions of the client and its subsidiary.
This a full- time position.
Our client is located in the City of Fernandina Beach, FL and is a 501(c)(3) qualified organization.
Requirements:
Responsibility for all financial administrative matters (approximately $2.
3 million and growing) Management of accounts payable and receivable Reconciliation of cash, bank statements Creation of journal entries for all accounts, including fixed assets and management of depreciation and amortization schedules Risk management, including establishing and maintaining internal financial controls and appropriate insurance coverages Cash management Working with external auditors regarding tax, audit and related matters Participation in preparation of annual budget Asset management Responsibility for payroll matters, including related tax filings.
Competency in on-line Quickbooks or similar system.
Preparation of monthly financial reports for the board of directors and attendance at monthly board meetings Such other matters as may be assigned related to the financial management of the business
Qualifications:
Excellent analytical skills Ability to work independently Experience in non-profit accounting and financial management (Required) CPA (Preferred) Knowledge of GAAP and GASB 5 Years Accounting and Finance experience Bachelor Degree with a focus in Accounting and/or Finance (Preferred) Ability to work well with Executive Leadership and Operational Teams #IND1 - Excellent analytical skills - Ability to work independently - Experience in non-profit accounting and financial management (Required) - CPA (Preferred) - Knowledge of GAAP and GASB - 5 Years Accounting and Finance experience - Bachelor Degree with a focus in Accounting and/or Finance (Preferred) - Ability to work well with Executive Leadership and Operational Teams.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
